Clipper City University

The "Clipper City University" was a private college founded in 1972 with the focus of promoting an Afrocentric environment. The college operated from 1972 to 2015 and during that time only had one man as president of the University. The downfall of the college began with its financial troubles and threats to revoke regional accreditation. The college was given an ultimatum to prove that it should not have its accreditation taken away. It failed and was stripped of accreditation in June of 2015. The University attempted to sue the Commission on Higher Education and lost. It ultimately was forced to shut down that year.
