Capitol Middle School
Very little historical information about this school exists, but it can be seen that the school itself has very historic features. Constructed at a time where schools in the dense urban area were identified only by numbers, this Junior High School shared property another city school. Both schools on the property were closed for good in 2007. The following year, the entire neighboring school was level during a wave demolition. This wave of demolition also affected the "Capitol Middle School" and left a portion of the building leveled. For whatever reason, demolition stopped after that. Today the original structure of the middle school sits in decay. Historic architecture can be seen inside the hallways and classrooms of the school, with the main feature being the auditorium.
