Building 1

Hill Building number one was the Back Female ward building. All of the hill buildings were constructed throughout the years of 1905 to 1909. It was designed for female patients only with no age restrictions. Hill Building one housed wards 10 through 17. This building had two additional structures attached to it. One was designated for ward 10, which can be seen in the left side of the building in this photo. The other was for ward 11 in the back of the building. Both ward 10 and 11 were shut down before the rest of the wards in this building.
