Hillbilly History House
This property was purchased by a wealthy English immigrant in 1898 to build his estate in this beautiful suburban town. The finished product was a beautiful, yet modest, Queen Anne Victorian home atop a small hill along the town's main thruway. The family lived here until around 1914 when they decided to move to Upper Montclair, NJ. Since then, the house has had many other residents before falling to abandonment. The fate of the property is a current debate within the town. The actual future of the property is still widely unknown.
