Lambertville High School
The Lambertville High School was constructed in 1854 in close proximity to the Delaware River in Lambertville, NJ. The school initially served a vast area of students expanding from Milford NJ to Ewing NJ. The school was an elementary school in its earliest days until the late 1800's when it was transitioned to house grades 9-12. A large addition, larger than the original building, was added to the school in the 1920's. A fire heavily damaged most of the school in 1926 and was fixed up by 1927. After the school's official closing in the late 1950's, the building was used by a company named Taurus Electronics. This was short lived as the building began to fall completely into disrepair. In 1992, the building once again fell victim to a destructive fire set by arsonists. This fire turned what was still a stable building into ruins. For the remaining years, this became a local hangout and visitation site for the kids and curious across NJ and PA. The building was demolished in 2012 by a decision to rid the town of the danger that existed after many years of citations and arrests made.
