Slums Hospital Center

This vast medical center is located in one of the most dangerous cities in the State of New Jersey. The hospital complex has a mix of very old historic buildings along with modern medical center architecture. Established in its location in 1895, the hospital was already part of an existing health care system located within the city. This particular location will feature a School of Nursing, which can obviously be pointed out due to its older architecture. Attached to the School of Nursing, a large modern hospital center was constructed. The small complex of buildings even had its own power plant and laundry buildings, dating back to the late 1800's and early 1900's. The entire complex was vacated in 2011 when the county built a brand new facility nearby. After the closure of the main facilities at the hospital, it continued to operate a satellite emergency room until 2013. The hospital center now sits completely abandoned and in disrepair.
