Delaware Power Station
The Delaware Power Station was constructed in 19117 and began generating power on October 12, 1920, in Philadelphia, PA. The building was designed by architect John T. Windrim who worked with PECO in designing many similar buildings. The building is listed on the Philadelphia and National Register of Historic Places. The building follows the Beaux Arts Classical style of architecture. According to online sources, PECO still keeps a section of the building in operation to put to use during peak periods. The plant was decommissioned in 2004 and has become a well-known ruin in Philadelphia.
