Grizzly Bear High
Established as a secondary school in 1914, the "Grizzly Bear High School" is one of the oldest schools in the country. In 1972, a new school housing grades 9-10 opened nearby and "Grizzly Bear High" began housing only grades 11-12. This only lasted for a short period of time until both schools serviced grades 9-12 due to their surrounding communities. At the height of its operation, the school had a student population of over 3,000. By 2013 the school had 676 and a portion of the school was closed down. Later that year the entire school had closed down and the remaining students were transferred to the nearby 9-12 high school.
