St. Justin Baptist Church
This "hole in the wall" church was constructed at this location in 1889. Like many surrounding churches of the area, it was constructed following Gothic architecture. The church has switched ownership over the years, but is now owned by the city. The exact date of closure is unknown but it has been sitting vacant for years. The city has deemed the large bell tower unsafe and threatens to tear it down if nothing is done with the property. Several congregations have expressed interest in using the church but no action has been taken.
